Although Ann Marie O'Neill has lived in New England her entire
life, she is a born traveler.
About
twenty years ago, Ann Marie was introduced to French faience,
Quimper, and Malicorne, at Marcia and Bea's charming
shop in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts, where she and her
mother would admire and sometimes buy a piece of old Quimper.
She is now a leading dealer, making regular pilgrimages to
France in search of old Quimper ware, always scouring the
markets in Paris, Brittany, and the south of France. The
search for just the right piece of our faience for
both the beginning and advanced collector is always an exciting
challenge.
Ann Marie
exhibits at antique shows in New England, New York, Texas,
and Florida, and leads a group of Quimper enthusiasts to France
each year. A large mail order business, an occasional lecture
about old Quimper, and private appointments contribute to
a very busy schedule that still allows time for travel to
Greece, Istanbul, and Italy, but most especially time for
her three treasured grandchildren.
A graduate
of Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, Ann Marie taught
elementary school for a number of years. She and her husband
reside in Duxbury, Massachusetts, near the sea, and spend
much of the winter skiing on the slopes of Loon Mountain near
their home in North Woodstock, New Hampshire.
